Photo Session with Great Horned Owl

This is a recused Great Horned Owl from Michigan Avian Experience. He's not able to be released into the wild. His tree was logged when he was a hatchling and instead of turning to the DNR right away, the loggers kept him for a few days. This owl then imprinted into humans and is not able to survive in the wild any longer.

She came from parents who originated in Guyana and were injured from deforestation. As a result, she became orphaned. Her caregiver has been raising her since she was just a few months old.
